Established in 1986 Chinese Arts Centre is the leading organisation for the promotion of contemporary Chinese art in the UK.
Working with the best creative talent we run a lively programme of exhibitions, residencies, engagement projects, festivals, international projects and events which support innovation and reflects the dynamism of contemporary Chinese art.
Following on from a £2.5 million Lottery grant, it opened its purpose built Centre in November 2003 and received a RIBA award for architecture and was a finalist for the accessible building of the year in 2004. In 2005 Chinese Arts Centre was short-listed for the Art05 Award and in 2006 received a Pearl Award for Creative Excellence.
