Company description:
Citizens In Action UK (CIA UK) is a local community organisation managed and run by volunteers. It was set up in March 2009 as a private limited company, registered for charitable purposes.
Since that time, we have been providing much needed free legal and social case work services to disadvantaged individuals in the local communities of Wandsworth and Merton.
We have recently moved to the Bournemouth area to further establish the organization by setting up a formalised management team to allow us to provide an even better service to a greater number of beneficiaries.
The Overall Aims
1. The overall aim of CIA UK is to improve health, wellbeing and community relations through better access to justice for disadvantaged and excluded groups, by providing free access to legal remedy, advice, support and representation, in matters of Civil cases, Civil disputes and Social welfare cases.
2.To increase the options for case funding as well as improving awareness of Civil law and Civil procedure, by providing learning opportunities, legal reference texts and publications.
3.To create work and career opportunities throughout local communities.
