Company description:
Art in Tanzania is a self sustainable Non Government Organization (NGO) registered in Tanzania, Zanzibar, Ethiopia and Finland. Established in Dar es Salaam in 2001.
Over the course of a year, AIT receives over 1,000 volunteers and interns, with approx. 100 volunteers/interns in country at one time.
Volunteer projects in Moshi, Karatu, Masai Land, Dar es Salaam, Stone Town and Makanduchi (Zanzibar)
Art in Tanzania’s Mission: Advancement of community development through volunteer and intern projects in the fields of education, HIV/AIDS awareness, construction, sports programs and orphan care and the development of media (Mzuka Records and Fiesta Magazine) to promote social awareness
Art in Tanzania internship and volunteers programs give students a great opportunities to develop their own skills and see the tangible benefits of their work on the local communities.
We have numerous placements, offering practical training. We tailor your placements to your area of study, and all are in English. The typical length of an internship or volunteer stay is between 2 and 3 months, but we can also adjust for longer programs.
