S&K Haulage Glamorgan Ltd was established in 1971. The S&K group, comprises of three companies, S&K Haulage Glamorgan Ltd, Vaughan Transport Systems Ltd and
Barry Storage & Distribution. Offering Pan European, UK Haulage & Storage facilities respectively.
The company was founded by Neil Kidby 36 years ago and is still the active Managing Director for all companies with the support from his three sons, David, James and Lloyd who head up the three main departments of the business. Being a family run business we still achieve and appreciate small and large customers needs and requests and act upon these hastily due to four directors permanently based on site, a rapid response to any situation is always provided.
S&K Haulage supply individual transport management solutions, warehousing, picking and packaging for the majority of the multi-national companies situated in South Wales, with deliveries varying in size from 1kg to 28,000kgs covering all of the United Kingdom and Europe.
The group has fleet of over 110 vehicles, complimented by 190 trailers. The trailers vary from curtainsiders, euroliners, temperature controlled trailers, box vans, flatbeds, sliding & ISO skeletal trailers , bulk liquid and gas tankers.
On our 5-acre site at Barry Docks, we have 40,000 sq.ft of secured enclosed warehousing facilities which offers heated, refrigerated and ambient storage, picking, packing and order fulfilment services. The majority of our blue chip customers are from the chemical, automotive, construction and technology industries which demand high standards of professionalism. We operate our own vehicles throughout the western European union, and freight forward to any other countries.
We have our own Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor on site and a high proportion of our drivers are ADR trained. The company is certified under the control of Pollution Act 1989, for transport of waste products. S&K has been ISO 9002 registered for 16 years and SQAS audited.
