A role has arisen for a housing standards officer in East London. Training in HHSRS is essential. Up-to-date experience with the 2004 Housing Act in relation to HMO legislation is also essential. The role will involve inspecting houses using the HHSRS system to determine the appropriate action, and using relevant experience to draft reports, technical drawing and statutory notices. This role offers the opportunity for a long-term contract.

Degree or Diploma in Social Work, or other GSCC recognised social work qualification is essential, as is experience working with children in need in a statutory setting. Previous experience working with children or adolescents with mental health issues is desirable, but not essential and can be gained.
