To provide supervision and instruction for Emergency Department Medical Officers of Special Scale and for Resident Medical Officers rostered to the Emergency Department, ensuring they develop the necessary skills to be able to contribute to the Emergency Department’s clinical team in a positive and effective way. To promote and facilitate effective and co-operative relationships between the Emergency Department, other specialist services and General Practitioners.

The job would involve a fixed rotating partial shift roster covering general medicine with no call back but on take 1:5 weekdays and 2:6 weekends (one of days and one of nights). There is excellent Consultant and peer support provided and a broad range of medical experience on offer, with the opportunity to manage HDU and CCU patients. It would be a suitable position for those with senior SHO experience or a first time Registrar.
