Embedded Software Engineer - Permanent
A leading engineering consultancy who operate within the Medical/Healthcare industries is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer. You will be responsible for working on the design and development of robust, capable and reliable equipment and instrumentation for the Healthcare/medical/medtech industries. The role is based in South Cambridgeshire and is paying £40,000 - £45,000 plus benefits.
Carry out software and firmware development for high-volume medical products
Support the business development activities relevant to their software offering
Participate in their cross-discipline medical device product development projects - eg brainstorms, risk assessments, design development, design testing, sales meetings/presentations
Preferable you will need:
Honours degree in Software Engineering or Electronics
Exposure to multi-disciplinary development projects
Able to develop software throughout the project life cycle including, participation in Design Reviews, testing of Software Modules, integration of modules with electronics, preparation of software verification reports
Coding in C and Assembler for Hardware interfaces to sensors, controllers and displays, User-centric state machines
Able to create software documentation including the following: Quality Plan and FMEA, Requirements Specification and Design Description, Integration, verification and validation Plan, Design Review management and preparation of records
It would be beneficial if you had:
Use of IAR Embedded Workbench and VisualState development tools
Development for ARM7 or ARM9 processors
