360 Degrees IT Recruitment is currently seeking three (x3) a hands-on software engineer with a passion for technology based in the West Sussex area. My client is a leader in geospatial and environmental information systems and technology for mission and business critical applications. Their customer base comprises of companies and institutions from the government, defence and national infrastructure sectors.
The purpose of this role is to provide software development capability as directed,within divisional software teams. Under supervision, the successful applicant will be expected to take responsibility for their allocated software development and test.The candidate must be a clear thinker with excellent analysis, problem solving & communication skills.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Degree or industry recognise equivalent in a Computing/Numerate subject (Maths,
Physics, Computer Science, Engineering) is preferred.
Capable of object_oriented programming in C++ or similar language.
Design experience using UML would be an advantage.
Experience of GIS useful but not essential.
Knowledge and use of Oracle, .NET and/or J2EE Web Services would be advantageous.
