A major Copper Mining Company in the Copperbelt in Zambia is looking for the ideal candidate to fill the position of Rock Mechanic Engineer for a contract single/married residential position.

Must have sound mining knowledge otherwise do not apply!

Salary negotiable in US$ per annum cost to company - fully taxable.

Requirements
• BSc Honors/Geophysics in Rock Mechanics essential
• Highly Experienced.
• Applies the science of Rock Mechanics
• Providing rock mechanics (geotechnical) services: excavation design, development and stoping layouts, sequence of mining and scheduling of production to ensure cost effective and safe ore production.
• Supervises and advises personnel on technical problems.
• Investigates potential implications of short and long-term mining recommendations to management on possible changes in planning and support requirements.
• Observes and analyses the mining environment, evaluates findings and advises on safe mining practices.
• Catalogues the required geotechnical data to ensure information is readily available for use by appropriate planning and production officials.
