Head of Accounting - Gibraltar.
Our client has recently moved their operations to Gibraltar. The finance department is growing and they are looking for a suitable candidate for the role of Head of Accounting.
Reporting into the Finance Director your duties will include:
• Manage a small professional team setting objectives, monitoring performance and conducting appraisals
• Assign tasks to team members in line with the required demands of the business
• Implementation of IFRS
• Implementation of fast close procedures
• Preparation of monthly and annual accounts
• Review financial statements and advise on applicable changes for disclosures
Profile and Skills.
• Professional qualification: ACA/CIMA/ACCA professional level with significant post qualification background or MBA and all round financial acumen
• Experience in a similar position
• Solid understanding of IFRS and implementation or conversion experience thereof
• Ability to communicate and explain procedures to non financial, professional staff and to exhibit an open and consultative approach
• Capability of and experience in managing a team, strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritise and disseminate tasks in line with the required demands on the business
• Excellent communicator with the confidence to liaise across the business at all levels, be credible, confident and customer focused
