Our client a highly successful global IT Vendor is seeking a High Performance Computing (HPC) Sales Specialist to develop the market to sell the company’s portfolio of HPC and entry storage products and solutions. You will be focused on existing accounts and growing existing HPC revenue with Account Managers in these accounts and working with Partners to sell HPC and entry storage products to new accounts in the financial square mile etc Telecoms or Public Sector.
This role is singularly focused on HPC and X86 products and solutions and is intended to be the expert in this market segment. Knowledge of the products and solutions both from the technology perspective and sales strategy is a must. You will ensure that customers are aggressively buying HPC product as preferred products versus competition and that Partners are aggressively selling the HPC offerings.
This is a new division and so self starter business flair and drive is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
Owns HPC products and solution revenue for the territory and develops a business plan that includes selling to existing accounts and new customer acquisition.
Develops new HPC opportunities in a targeted market to win market share.
Works with sales teams and engagement managers, to maximise HPC products, solution penetration and associated revenue, to articulate technical features/benefits as both business competitive advantage at senior management level and technical advantage at the operational level.
Able to take the leadership in driving the opportunities to closure and provide accurate forecasts for the territory.
Works closely with marketing and counterpart on channels on the 'go to market' HPC products and solution strategy.
Conducts products/solutions presentations, builds the value proposition to the customer.
Drives customer adoption, certification of HPC products and solutions.
Structures and sells HPC purchase agreements and framework agreements working with European Volume Deal team.
Works closely with alliance partners such as AMD, Microsoft and Vmware etc to maximise leverage of account relationships.
Qualification:
Sufficient experience in HPC or X86 product sales and proven achievement of targets.
Extensive knowledge of the HPC market place and the key competitors (IBM, HP & DELL & SUN local competitors).
Understanding of the key drivers of demand in this market including the business applications as well as the datacentre virtualisation, web scale and HPC areas.
Channels experience to drive server products to market.
