Job Overview: A leading Information Management Service Company is seeking a Well Data Manager to work at an oil company client site, to work in a team undertaking a Log Data Improvement Project with the main objective of populating their Recall data base with a verified set of curves. Applicants are invited with strong well data management skills and experience using the Recall database. This Log Data Improvement project requires the data gathering of all Petrophysical log data available in the various repositories, quality checking of this data and then the loading of this verified data to corporate databases, Recall being the main database. With a strong well data background, you will be a key player in this team, assisting and guiding in all tasks required to achieve the overall objective. Responsibilities: Identify all logs run in well using End of Well Reports, Completion logs, JPL Register, Off-site Storage Catalogue, CDA data store, LiveLink and Recall…Collect the digital log data (tape), corresponding log images and required end of well reports. Build a logging summary sheet (inventory) and assign correct images to tapes ensuring they are from the correct borehole…Identify missing digital data and place order for retrieving the tapes from off-site store or from partners. Read the tape data and load to CDA and Recall…Load high value curves into the Recall corporate database ensuring they verify with the corresponding log image. Preferences: Degree in Geology or Earth Science…At least 2 years experience working for an E&P Oil or/and Service Company, in well data loading or well data management…Experience of petrophysical/well data management with exposure to subsurface data types…An understanding of different well data types and formats and the well data acquisition, QC and analysis process...Experienced in the use of subsurface applications and databases - Recall…Experience cleaning and managing well data logs
