Job Overview: The industry leader in integrating rock physics, well data, and surface seismic to provide quantitative interpretation services, seeks a Processing and Interpretation Manager to take responsibility for effectively managing and delivering projects to required company and client standards, monitoring, mentoring and supporting a team of multi-discipline geoscientists across the Group. Applicants are invited with strong processing, reservoir characterisation or/and inversion skills combined with proven experience managing a team of geoscientist delivering services.
The Company has pioneered technologies that produce well-based seismic models, enabling the relationship between reservoir properties and seismic data to be clearly identified. This quantitative interpretation process is highly valuable in determining how porosity changes relate to pre and post stack seismic response before proceeding to using inversion methods such as Impedance, AVO and neural networks.
With a strong background in geophysics and strong management expertise in managing processing services, you will be responsible for a large team of multi-disciplined geoscientists in the US. The Group has satellite offices in the UK and Asia-Pacific regions and the individual must be willing and able to travel abroad when reasonably required to perform their duties
Responsibilities: Reporting to the VP Processing & Interpretation, this role encompasses many functions including:
· Become competent in the Company’s processing and quantitative interpretation techniques, technologies, and workflow processes. Training will be provided as required.
· Provide highly effective self and team management.
· Ensure efficient and thorough execution of all data processing, modelling, inversion and interpretation tasks and projects.
· Liaise effectively with clients and co-workers to ensure that expectations and deliverables for quality and service are met or exceeded
· Provide technical leadership in projects as required; demonstrating problem-solving skills and applying appropriate theory to drive practical and effective solutions
· Mentor and support co-workers; proactively transferring specialized knowledge and advancing the skills sets of individuals.
· Ensure that quality control standards are met for processing, modelling and reporting activities.
· Ensure that written reports are produced and delivered to the client in accordance with contract and company standards.
· Develop and agree service parameters with clients in conjunction with the VP P&I.
· Draft new procedures and approval of procedure updates
· Provide support to the VP P&I by carrying out other duties and tasks as are reasonable and within the scope, purpose and grade of the job, as may be determined from time to time by the VP P&I.

· Keep abreast of new processing and quantitative interpretation techniques, processes and market trends.
This role offers a great opportunity for an experienced geoscientist with proven experience leading and managing a team delivering a full range of services, well-based rock-physics and seismic models, seismic data pre-conditioning, inversion for lithology and fluid prediction and seismic facies modeling. There is great scope for career progression, delivering a unique service in a growing market.
Preferences: The successful candidate will have:
· Degree or equivalent in a related geoscience discipline (geology, physics or geophysics) essential. Masters or PhD desirable.
· Strong project management and time management skills; able to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently to meet customer and company expectations for both quality and delivery
