JOB TITLE: HYDRAULIC UNIT SALES COORDINATOR


JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB OBJECTIVES

Proactively market the Companies products and assist Sales Engineers in increasing turnover and profitability within the company. To handle effectively sales prospecting aimed at developing long term relationships with both existing and potential customers. To deal with counter sales customers, offering advice and assistance.
Where necessary, to assist in the supervision of staff within the Hydraulic Unit of the Company and the scheduling of production of assemblies and warehousing of hydraulic products.
To work closely with the Production Coordinator and Warehouse Manager.

MAIN DUTIES:

1. To become thoroughly conversant with the specifications and application of all the fluid power products and services in the company’s range. To promote sales of all the company’s products (including “switch selling” where necessary) to the best of his/her abilities consistent with current Company pricing policies. To become thoroughly conversant with competitors products, prices and marketing strategies.

2. To take responsibility for the prompt and accurate processing of all sales enquiries, including timely and accurate completion of representatives reports, orders and complaints to the best possible satisfaction of the customer. To ensure that company pricing and profit margin policies are followed.

3. To liase closely with all functions within the company, in order to foster and maintain a good working relationship with fellow employees.

4. To react promptly to requests from customers for detailed technical information, outstanding delivery dates, and any other matters that may further the above objectives.

5. To liase closely with customers to assist in the specification of Company products both at the design stage and beyond.

6. In meeting the above objectives, to make full use of any information available regarding the Company’s local business activities, the range of products and services, it handles and the special needs of customers. To assist management and credit control staff in the collection of overdue accounts including stopping supplies when directed.

7. To attend and participate in training activities as required by the Company, some of which may occur outside normal office hours and may not attract payment.


8. To monitor quality of products and services and identify and implement strategies to improve same.

9. To assist the management team in various projects seen necessary to benefit Company development.





JOB TITLE: HYDRAULIC SALES COORDINATOR


PERSONNEL SPECIFICATION


1. A proven track record or relevant qualifications in hydraulic engineering is essential.

2. A proven knowledge of hydraulic components is essential.

3. Experience in the design and specification of fluid power systems and their maintenance and commissioning would be of benefit.

4. You must be able to demonstrate an orientation and motivation to increase sales. Telesales experience would be of particular benefit.

5. Good communication skills and a friendly, professional, helpful manner, coupled with appropriate appearance are essential.

6. Self-motivation and the ability to work under your own initiative, whilst integrating into a team are essential criteria.

7. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office would be of benefit.


HOURS OF WORK:
Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 17.00
Three Fridays in a row: 08:15 - 13:00, fourth Friday: 08:15 - 16:30 on a rota basis.
Lunch 30 minutes (except when finishing at 13:00 on a Friday)


Staff are required to make themselves available for training which at times may be outside normal working hours, and may not attract payment

Salary : £16 - 23k
