Role: Part - Time Human Resources Manager

WFS Ltd is the world leader in underwater and underground RF communications. Its
customer base is in the defence, oil & gas, environmental & industrial sectors in the
UK, Europe and USA. Founded in 2003, privately funded and profitable, it is a fast
growing technology start up which has more than doubled in size in the last 12
months, and plans to do the same in the next 12 to 18 months through expanding its
teams in the UK and USA.
DUTIES
While working closely with the Chairman and the Board, responsibilities will include all
aspects of recruitment, induction, training & development, performance appraisal, pay
& benefits, health & safety and other statutory HR requirements. This role will also comprise of supporting the General Manager with the everyday running of an efficient and profitable research facility.
The near term HR priorities include recruitment of senior management, technical and
sales resource to facilitate business growth and setting up and managing HR policies,
practices and procedures. In the medium term, there will be the opportunity to move
to a full time basis.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
As a result of this growth, the company wishes to recruit a part time Human Resource
Manager (50%+). The candidate will be proven HR professional, ideally with experience in the engineering / technology sector. Professional qualifications such as CIPD would be useful but are not a pre-requisite. The right candidate will be a self starter, with strong interpersonal skills.
