I am a recent graduate from The University of Birmingham with a degree in biological sciences. I am looking for a career, preferably in the life sciences and/or management sector that will accept recent (inexperienced) garduates. I am a hard working, organised and punctual individual, with good interpersonal skills and experience of working within teams of varying sizes. Previous employment, along with my time at university, has developed my analytical skills and I am capable of working effectively either alone or within teams of all sizes. I have had experience working within a variety of different companies which I feel has provided me with skills compatible for any type of employment. My most recent employer was Frank Wright Ltd, a manufacturer and supplier of agricultural supplements where I worked as a laboratory technician. This role provided me with experience of working in a highly technical and precise role where time management was an important factor. Previous to this job I have worked as a general assistant for Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd where I obtained valuable experience of working in a customer orientated environment, allowing me perfect my customer service and interpersonal skills. I have also had laboratory experience whilst performing my third year project at university. For this I conducted an investigation into the effects conducting a gene knockout experiment on a specific gene in plants. I am IT literate and a confident user of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), the Internet and Emails.
